When I asked Cowgirl to describe themselves, they simply said "Just four dudes rocking out." These tockers include: Danny Barton for guitar/ vocals, Sam Coates for guitar/ vocals, Jack Holdstock on the drums and Tom Robinson on bass.

I saw you’re going to release a new single, can you tell me something about it?

We’ve released 9 tracks in the last year or so. Our last single ‘Over It’ was recorded late last year at Greenmount Studios. We tried out a few new things in the studio which I think worked out pretty well. We’ll have a new single coming out in the next month or so which is from that same session. We’ve stock-piled a lot of material so its good to get it out there.

Uk garage-rock bands are very common these days, how do you stand out from the crowd?

Firstly, even though we all listen to a lot of garage-rock and have previously played in bands that would definitely fall under that umbrella, I wouldn’t really classify Cowgirl as a garage rock band. Although there are certainly some influences in there. In terms of how we stand out from the crowd, I’d like to think we write better songs.

What’s the least fun thing about being a musician?

It’s all pretty fun.

If you’d be locked in an elevator for 12 hours with someone of your choosing, who would you pick?

The rest of the band.
